Tamara Judge has entered the limelight when she was introduced as one of the cast members in season 3 of Bravo's popular reality TV show The Real Housewives of Orange County. She gained a huge amount of followers when she let us in the renovation of her grandiose home through social media.

Together with her husband Eddie, they purchased a coveted 3,930-square-foot home in the exclusive Covenant Hills community in December 2017. She bought the property for a whopping price of $1.585 million. The house which was built in 2005 came with panoramic views that almost everyone would kill to have. It also featured a majestic swimming pool.

The property was luxurious enough, but Judge made some few renovations and transformed it into something that came out of a travel magazine. She raised the value of her home to $1.799 million. Let's take a look inside the picturesque house of this businesswoman mogul.

View from The Outside

Where is the property located?

The property is located inside the guarded gates of an exclusive Covenant Hills community in Ladera Ranch, California. This elite community in south Orange County embodies the theme in most of the reality shows that invaded our television - luxury and extravagant.

The property does not just look like a fancy house where you can invite all of your friends and have a luxurious tea party. It looks like it's a resort where you would want to spend your weekend away from the chaos and stress.

Outside of this mansion lies a massive backyard. This is one of the Real Housewives star's favorite parts of the house and one of the selling points why they closed this deal. She said, “We often joke that we bought a backyard and a house came with it.”

The sprawling backyard features a patio with wide seating space, a jacuzzi, and a pool. It even includes a bar with a TV and an outdoor kitchen. Now, this is the perfect place where you can sit lazily on a Sunday afternoon, enjoying the jaw-dropping panoramic sunset view of the treetops and mountains while sipping a glass of cold lemonade. “If you want to come to a pool party, you know where to go!” she added.

And oh, let us not forget the large covered loggia that overlooks the spa and pool. It features a “sunk-in”-style seating with a fireplace and a built-in barbecue center. Nothing sounds cozier than catching up with your friends over mouth-watering barbecue and warm bonfire. And if you’re more on the sporty side, the bar offers a refreshing take on watching the game while enjoying a bottle of cold beer.

If you think you have fallen in love with the place just by the outside look of it, wait until you see what lies inside this picturesque two-story mansion.

A Tour of the Inside

The almost 4,000 square feet of living space features a family room, a living-dining room, five bathrooms, and five bedrooms.

Judge has done some extensive remodeling to transform her property to a home that both embraces elegance and comfort. Renovation included adding custom window coverings, crown molding, casement windows, cased archways, and solid hardwood floors. Plenty of built-ins were also utilized.

Another addition to the house is a new media niche with in-ceiling speakers and surround sound. Who needs theaters and cinemas when you have your own at the comfort of your home? Lounging in a comfortable sofa chair gives you the real experience like you are inside the cinema. Seller-owned solar was also added, a clever way of using natural energy to convert your house into a smart home.

While the connected family room speaks coziness, the living room embodies more formality. Arched hallways and large windows were used to make the living room spacious and bright. There is also a study room that is not only spacious but gives you direct access to the patio. It's a perfect place if you're working from home and wants to be productive. It's versatile enough to be easily converted into a private gym or an art studio.

Amongst the five bedrooms is a wide master bedroom. It's so spacious that it has a large walk-in closet and its own sitting area. A door also leads you to a sun-drenched balcony, a perfect place to enjoy the majestic view of your surroundings. The master bathroom is equally elegant as the master bedroom. It includes a stylish dressing area and lots of counter space.

The entire property is equipped with cameras for audio and video surveillance.

A Kitchen to Die For

The kitchen is probably one of the most interesting additions of the renovation. It does not only embody elegance and functionality but also speaks of uniqueness and creativity. The whole area looks immaculate with white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a redesigned open-concept floor plan. You will find granite countertop, quartz countertops, farm sink and a Carrara marble herringbone backsplash in the new kitchen. They also have a walk-in pantry and a refrigerated beverage center.

What makes Tamra Judge's kitchen unique is an island that has a built-in banquette bench seating. This concept was inspired by her friend and Real Housewives of Orange County co-star Meghan King Edmonds.

Many were surprised when Tamra Judge listed her property for sale less than one year after the major renovations were finished. She had it listed for $1.799 million with Shelley Black of Veranda Realty. While there were several speculations why the couple decided to sell their house that quick, Judge enjoyed every single piece of renovation in this house.

The Real Housewives of Orange County couple moved on to the next chapter of their life when they purchased a six-bedroom, four-bathroom property for $2.095 million in Coto de Caza.

Tamra Judge has shown us how a simple renovation can raise the value of your property. You don’t have to be as rich as the Judges to accomplish this. With a little creativity and resourcefulness, you can transform your home from plain and boring to elegance and sophistication.
