The two-story high-end Tribeca loft in New York that was once occupied by award-winning film actress and Broadway star Keira Knightley was sold for $6 million. Though there were no clear reports why the Pride and Prejudice female lead star would want to move out, this highly imposing New York City home was simply breathtaking. Before her pricey duplex apartment was sold for $6 million, it's original selling price was initially set at $8.4 million when the luxurious home first hit the market in 2009 then went down to $6.6 million in 2014 according to a New York Post report. Keira used to rent the upscale apartment for $45,000 per month as well as Texas Rangers star Eric Staal.

The Tribeca loft amazing features

Keira's former classy apartment is located in the busy Manhattan neighborhood of Tribeca, which features three spacious bedrooms, two full baths, and a 1/2 bath. The 3,820-square-foot posh residence displays a distinctive modern appeal, combining the effects of rustic wooden features and floral accents all over the place. The loft is entered at the upper level, leading to an elevated foyer.

This beautiful New York apartment received a massive renovation from its previous owner, who's a renowned painter, fashion designer, and sculptor. Impressive architectural details were incorporated to the house, which features eye-catching geometric wood accents and a 23-foot ceiling in the living room to provide enough breathing space and a comfortable view for the occupants. In fact, the 23-foot living room features a floor-to-ceiling glass panels, overlooking the private patio.

A huge structural column and exposed beams serve as a divider between the living and dining areas. You can also find several living room furnitures beautifully upholstered with cotton and silk.

Outside, there's the elevated foyer, anchored by a structural column and a stunning cast-iron sculpture to welcome you upon entering an enormous steel door. The foyer will direct you to the study area which displays towering floor-to-ceiling Japanese sliding doors that have organza inserts between glass panels. From the study, you can view the master suite, featuring hand-embroidered silk on cotton satin panels, resembling a subtle Japanese Bamboo Garden. It contains a walk-in closet, a library space and a full spa-like bath equipped with a modern toilet bowl, shower room and vanity sink in a granite finish.

Complementing the bedroom surrounding is the rustic wooden accent which will definitely give you a romantic atmosphere while you're having a private time. On the main level, the guest suites are covered with "Rateau-inspired, 1930s hand-embroidered silk" wall fabrics on top of its own dressing area and a private foyer.

The wall and ceiling accents are saturated with decorative elements including exposed bricks, stone tile flooring, and exposed wooden beams, bringing the natural setting closer to urban living. There's also a dining bar, good for seven persons, situated near the gourmet kitchen. This classy apartment is also home to the coolest spiral staircase in the city, featuring a mahogany and cast-iron stair design backed by a hand-crafted, oxidized copper screen. Moreover, this celebrity residence has an elegant chef kitchen with granite countertop and surrounded by high-grade appliances, industrial lighting, and neutral wall cabinetries. Also, take note of the granite backsplashes which add glamour to the kitchen.

Not only that, this Tribeca duplex home offers you plenty of spaces outside. Going out from the double-height glass wall, a striking 900-square-foot private patio, furnished with wonderful landscaping elements and heated natural stone flooring will welcome you. A 25-foot-high sculpture framed by concrete columns with back-lit Plexiglas panels serves as the main feature of this outdoor space. This ornamental sculpture is designed by the apartment owner.

With the help from brokers Caroline Aim and Colbert Holland Warfield of Keller Williams NYC, the exclusive estate which Keira used to stay, was finally sold after seven long years. The Pirates of the Caribbean star now lives in London with husband and active musician James Righton and their only daughter Edie.
